There is no written evidence that could tell us who invented the term educational technology. Several educators, scientists and philosophers at different time intervals have passed various definitions of educational technology. Technology education is a multifaceted and integrated process involving people, procedures, ideas, devices, and organization where technology in various fields of science are taken as necessary and compulsory training for solutions implementation, evaluation and management of these problems involved in all aspects of human learning.

The first stage of educational technology is combined with the use of aids such as charts, maps, symbols, models, samples and concrete materials. The term educational technology have been used as synonyms for the audio-visual aids. The second phase of educational technology is associated with electronic revolution  with the introduction and implementation of hardware and sophisticated software. The use of different audio-visual aids such as projectors, magic lanterns, VCR, radio and television has brought a revolutionary change in the lesson.

It is therefore instructive technological concept taken against these sophisticated instruments and equipment for effective presentation of course materials. The third stage of educational technology is related to the development of media has resulted in the “communication revolution for education. Used computer-assisted instruction for education since the 1950′s also became popular in that time.
