Now you have a diagnosis of whether a diagnosis of CAPD, ADD, ADHD, dyslexia or other learning difficulties, what are you doing? How can you help your child improve their learning problems as quickly and easily as possible?
You have all sorts of conflicting emotions running through you. On the one hand, you are relieved to have identified the problems of your child’s learning. On the other hand, you want to know everything there is to know about the problem and quickly so you can help your child overcome as quickly as possible.
I think the real key to living with a learning disability if dyslexia, visual processing problems, CAPD, or auditory processing problems of others, is to have a full understanding of its nature, its impact on learning, and Finally, what you can do about it. In this spirit, CAPD is a physical condition under the protection of the ADA. Most children with CAPD have normal hearing, but their ability to process auditory information is compromised. The problems posed can vary from mild to severe and may take several forms.
